The Green Deal
The government's recently passed Energy Act 2011 includes provisions for the new
'Green Deal', which intends to reduce carbon emissions cost effectively by revolutionising
the energy efficiency of British properties.
The new innovative Green Deal financial mechanism will eliminate the need to pay
upfront for energy efficiency measures and instead provide reassurance that the
cost of the measures should be covered by savings on the electricity bill. To find
out more about the Green Deal and how you could benefit from it visit our unique

which we’ll be constantly updating with all the latest information.
Under the Green Deal, households and businesses will be able to get an independent
survey on their properties, followed by targeted advice on how to improve the energy
efficiency of the property.
The scheme, which will finance the retrofit of energy efficiency works, such as
installing double glazed windows and insulation, is expected to take effect from
Autumn 2012 with a full roll out from the Spring 2013.
